Eight of Charles Messier objects ( go to Label ) appear in this picture centered in the constellation of Sagittarius just north the Milky Way core. From top left the red emission nebula M17 and just below the little star cluster M18. The bright star cloud near the center is M24 with to his right the large open cluster M23. The famous Laguna and Trifid nebula complex M8,M20,M21 are visible in the lower part with the little globular cluster M28 to his left. |
